How do you know what ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini say about your company? Measuring your visibility in AI answers

Updated 14/10/2026 · 6 min read · Injaz Digital team

The short answer

You find out what AI says about your company by asking it the way your customers do: a sample of questions in their wording and dialects, asked every month on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google, recording whether you were named, in what position, and which sources were used. Search Console complements it by counting AI Overviews traffic under web results, and Bing's AI Performance report counts how often your pages are cited.

Business owners ask: “what does ChatGPT say about us? Does it recommend us or the competitor?” One question isn't enough to answer that, because the answer changes with the wording, the engine and the time. Proper measurement is a sample, not a question.

Why isn't one question enough?

Because your customers ask in many wordings, in formal Arabic, dialect and English, and each engine relies on different sources. You may appear for wording close to your site's and not for wording people actually type. So you measure your share across a set of questions, not your position for one question.

How do you build the question sample?

  1. Write the questions your customers actually ask before buying: “who is the best…”, “how much does… cost”, “how do I…”.
  2. Write each question in more than one form: formal Arabic, Gulf, Egyptian or Levantine dialect, and English.
  3. Keep part of the questions fixed for monthly comparison, and rotate the rest to cover new wordings.
  4. Ask in a fresh session without sign-in or personalisation where possible, so your history doesn't shape the answer.

Injaz AI by Injaz Digital builds this sample with you in your customers' dialects in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, the Gulf and Jordan.

What do you record for each answer?

Record three things that turn an answer into a number:

What you recordWhy
Was your company named?Gives your share of answers per topic and per engine
In what position?Being named first is not the same as fifth
Which sources were used?Tells you where your name needs to appear next

This measurement is a fixed part of how Injaz AI by Injaz Digital works: a baseline before any change, then a monthly report of your share of answers per topic and per engine, so you see the effect of the work in numbers, not impressions.

What do Google's and Bing's tools offer?

Each gives part of the picture:

  • Google Search Console: Google says AI Overviews and AI Mode traffic appears in the Performance report under the “Web” search type.
  • The AI Performance report in Bing Webmaster Tools: counts how often your pages are cited in Microsoft Copilot, AI summaries in Bing and some partners, and shows the most-cited pages and the grounding queries used to retrieve them. Bing says these counts reflect how often pages are cited, not ranking.
  • Your site analytics: watch visits referred by AI engines' sites as a traffic source.

Can the engines read your site at all?

Check this before any measurement. OpenAI says a site needs to allow its OAI-SearchBot crawler to appear in ChatGPT search answers, and Perplexity recommends allowing PerplexityBot in robots.txt. If the crawlers are blocked, there's no point measuring your visibility before fixing that.

This check is the first thing Injaz AI does on any site, before content and measurement.

What are common measurement mistakes?

  • Judging from one question worded close to your site.
  • Asking from a signed-in account that knows your interests.
  • Changing every question every month, which loses the comparison.
  • Recording “we appeared” without the sources used, so you don't know what to do next.

Why choose Injaz AI by Injaz Digital to get your name into the answers?

  • A baseline on Google, Bing, AI Overview, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity before any work, then a monthly report of your share of answers.
  • Content in Arabic and English that covers your customers' questions as they type them in their dialects, in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, the Gulf states and Jordan.
  • No bought links and no first-place promises: work that follows Google's guidelines, with every change explained.
  • We did it for ourselves first: a real ChatGPT answer recommends Injaz AI, published on our service page.

FAQ

How many questions do I need in the sample?

Enough to cover each main topic in several wordings and dialects, with a fixed part for monthly comparison and a rotating part.

Does AI show up in Search Console?

Google says AI Overviews and AI Mode traffic is counted in the Performance report under the “Web” search type.

What is Bing's AI Performance report?

A Bing Webmaster Tools report that counts how often your pages are cited in Copilot and Bing's AI summaries, and shows the pages and phrases linked to them.

How often should I measure?

Monthly, since changes in AI answers take time to show, and a monthly comparison on fixed questions reveals the trend.
